Returns Policy

We want you to love your jewellery from West Country Goldsmiths. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, please read our returns policy below.

1. Your Right to Cancel (Online and Distance Purchases)

If you purchase jewellery online, by phone, or away from our premises, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your item.

  • You must notify us in writing (email or letter) that you wish to cancel.

  • You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.

  • Once received, we will issue a refund within 14 days via your original payment method.

 

2. Exemptions (Items That Cannot Be Returned)

For reasons of hygiene, safety, and customisation, the following items are non-returnable unless faulty:

  • Earrings and body jewellery (for hygiene reasons).

  • Bespoke, customised, or personalised items (including items altered to your specification, e.g. resized rings, engravings, or custom commissions).

  • Items made to order that are not part of our standard stock.

 

3. Conditions of Return

  • Items must be returned in original condition, unworn, and with all packaging and certificates included.

  • We cannot accept returns that show signs of wear, alteration, or damage after delivery.

  • You are responsible for return postage and insurance until the item reaches us safely. We recommend a tracked and insured service.

 

4. Faulty or Misdescribed Items

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described:

  • You are entitled to a full refund or repair/replacement in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • Please contact us within 30 days of receipt for a refund. After 30 days, we will offer a repair or replacement where possible.

 

5. In-Store Purchases

Items bought in-store do not automatically qualify for a 14-day return right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. However:

  • We will accept returns of unworn, stock (non-customised) items within 14 days of purchase, for exchange or credit note only.

  • This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty goods.

  2. Securely package your item with proof of purchase.
